Photo Usage

We hope to see photographs from the family collection distributed widely to share the rich and unique history of Lincoln Hills. To ensure these rare photos are properly used, rules for use and attribution are provided below and on the gallery page.

Images in the Tucker Hamlet collection fall under either two Creative Commons license types, the BY-NC-ND (Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives) or the BY-SA (Attribution-ShareAlike). You can view all photos of each type using the Photo Archive > BY-NC-ND and Photo Archive > BY-SA links.

The majority of photographs in the collection fall under the BY-NC-ND license, which restricts commercial use and the creation of derivative works, preserving the character and integrity of these rare artifacts for future generations. To allow for broad disruption, a subset of the collection has been designated under the BY-SA license, allowing them to be used, for example, on Wikipedia. The BY-SA license still requires attribution.

CC BY-NC-ND License

• Attribution — You must give appropriate credit , provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
• NonCommercial — You may not use the material for commercial purposes.
• NoDerivatives — If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you may not distribute the modified material.
• No additional restrictions — You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.

CC BY-SA License

• ShareAlike — If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original.
